To establish an AIE council, you would... | • Prepare a collateral package for mailing to prospective members and to the local press. | | • Obtain current directories of the officers of local chapters of technical associations. | | • Establish departmental contacts with colleges, universities and with alumni organizations. | | • Establish relationships with your local businesses and industries. | | • Foster relationships with the local print and electronic presses. | | • Work with manufacturer's representatives. | | • Elect Council officers. | | • Publish your results on the AIE web site (www.members-aie.org), or your own Website | | • Open a checking account and prepare a calendar of activities. | | • Hire your Executive Director. |
Just one hour per week...spent using your home telephone contacting engineers, scientists and mathematicians.
